Unfortunately we were unable to blog last week due to website issues.
We have been very busy studying volcanoes. We have learnt about the layers of the Earth, how volcanoes are made and how they are structured.
In English last week we worked really hard creating volcano poetry. We were learning about similes, metaphors, onomatopoeia, alliteration and personification. We have also been learning to recite our poems using exciting expression.
We used ipads on picollage!
Did you like learning about volcanoes?
We loved it as we got to write our own poem about the volcano. That was my favourite part because we got to show of our vocabulary and use some more formal language. I loved how I could show of some rhyming words and have fun with them.
YES!!!! We had lots of fun.
I love the background of the piccollage ????

As much as Lucy I enjoyed learning about volcanoes.
What do you like about volcanoes?
I like it when the tectonic plates push together and it comes up with the mountain. then the magma comes up and blasts of with boiling lava.
Its really interesting!
A fact I would really like to know is why do the magma change name to lava?
I like how volcanos are formed. What else would you like to know?
Inside the volcano is magma but after the volcano exploding and the magma drying out it turns into lava .
I like how lava turns into rocks.
Good use of word choices- gloomy suddenly rigid tectonic
