Volcanoes

Unfortunately we were unable to blog last week due to website issues.

We have been very busy studying volcanoes. We have learnt about the layers of the Earth, how volcanoes are made and how they are structured.

In English last week we worked really hard creating volcano poetry. We were learning about similes, metaphors, onomatopoeia, alliteration and personification. We have also been learning to recite our poems using exciting expression.

    • We loved it as we got to write our own poem about the volcano. That was my favourite part because we got to show of our vocabulary and use some more formal language. I loved how I could show of some rhyming words and have fun with them.

  1. Wow! Looks like you worked hard on this!

On a scale of 1to 10 how much do you like working on volcanoes?

    • I like it when the tectonic plates push together and it comes up with the mountain. then the magma comes up and blasts of with boiling lava.

      Its really interesting!

A fact I would really like to know is why do the magma change name to lava?
